Why Altitude? Well, at nearly 300 metres above sea level, St Luke’s Church, Lodge Moor is higher than Big Ben and nearly as high as the Eiffel Tower!
Height, particularly in relation to mountains, is a recurring theme in the Bible. For example, Moses received the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai and Jesus often went up a mountain to pray.
So 'Altitude’ resonates with our identity as a Church and the symbolic altitude of God. But mainly...we think it's a cool name!
